The Calathea White Star (Calathea majestica ‘White Star’) is a tropical foliage plant native to South America. Its long, narrow leaves are boldly striped in shades of white, pink, and deep green, with rose-pink undersides. Leaves fold upward at night and open during the day. Grows up to 60–90 cm indoors. Safe for pets and children.

Care Light — Medium to bright indirect light. Avoid direct sun. Water — Keep soil evenly moist. Water when the top 1–2 cm feels slightly dry. Sensitive to tap water — use filtered or rainwater where possible. Humidity — Requires high humidity. Mist regularly or use a pebble tray. Temperature — 18–27°C. Sensitive to cold drafts and sudden temperature changes. Fertiliser — Feed monthly during the growing season with a diluted balanced fertiliser. Difficulty — Moderate.
