The Calathea Picturata Crimson (Calathea picturata ‘Crimson’) is a tropical foliage plant native to South America. Its oval leaves display a striking contrast — a pale silver centre stripe against deep green, with vivid burgundy-red undersides that become visible as the leaves fold and unfold throughout the day. Grows up to 30–50 cm indoors. Safe for pets and children.

Care Light — Medium to bright indirect light. Avoid direct sun to preserve leaf pattern. Water — Keep soil consistently moist. Water when the top 1–2 cm feels slightly dry. Use filtered or rainwater where possible. Humidity — Prefers high humidity. Mist several times a week or use a pebble tray. Temperature — 18–27°C. Avoid cold drafts and air-conditioning vents. Fertiliser — Feed once a month during the growing season with a diluted balanced liquid fertiliser. Difficulty — Moderate.
